What is Regulation 25?

Residential Family Centres are visited by an independent inspector once a month. This is called a Regulation 25 visit or an Independent Monitoring Visit. The purpose of the visit is to make sure the staff are looking after you properly and the family centre you live in is well managed.

It is an assessment of the balance of privacy and supervision of families at the centre. Providing an impartial oversight which is consistent with the national minimum standards for family residential centres.
